Bangladesh has reached 10 core internet user

According to industry insiders, the number of fixed broadband connections increased by 40.6 per cent in March to 60.84 lakh due to the prevalent Covid-19 epidemic. At the end of March, the total number of active connections was 10.32 crore, up from 9 in February this year .99 crore, which means that at that time about 80 percent of the people in the country had access to the Internet.

The Internet service industry has seen ups and downs in the last six months - if it hadn't, the 100 million landmark could have been achieved a few months ago, according to a report from the telecom regulator.
The total number of active internet connections in the country reached over 90 million in August 2016, when it was 80 million in November, just a year earlier.
In April 2016, Bangladesh achieved 70 million Internet users, while in March 2017, the number was only 60 million.
Of the total number of active internet connections, mobile carriers control the lion's share with 92.18 per cent or 9.52 crore users.
Meanwhile, Wi-Max operators are running with their 2,000 active internet connections.
